Reproduction Policy and Prices

The Urban Archives does not lend nor send the originals for research use. However, prints of the originals can be done. The following options are available:

In-House Service. The Urban Archives has aquired a professional FUJI photoprinter. This printer reproduces the image onto KODAK quality paper. The cost is $12.00 per image and either an 8 x 10 or 5 x7 size can be provided. (Note: the cost is the same for either size). Shipping and handling fees are extra.
Professional Services. The Urban Archives has an arrangement with a highly technical photoshop that can also provide prints from the originals. The cost is as follows:

PHOTOGRAPHIC USE POLICY

1....Each reproduction must carry the following credit line:

Temple University Libraries, Urban Archives, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

2.... Permission to reproduce covers editiorial use, for world-wide distribution, one time, in one language, in one edition, in one medium for a period not to exceed 10 years.

3.... Permission to publish is also contingent upon receipt of appropriate fees.

4.... A copy of the medium containing photographs from the Archives' collections must be sent to the Archives.

5.... In authorizing the use of this material, Temple University Libraries does not surrender its own right to use it, or to grant permission to others to do so.

6.... This authorization does not affect the recipient's obligation to guard against infringement of the rights of others, including (but not limited to) copyright, rights of privacy, and/or publicity.

7.... If copyright is not held by the Temple University Libraries, requestor is responsible for obtaining copyright privileges from the holder. (See back of reproduced photograph for information.)
