Find Maps in Paley Library

There is a Map Reference Area located at the east end of the library's first floor. The current issues of most atlases and many of the maps owned by the library are kept in this area, including physical, political, geological, thematic, and road maps. The Urban Archives, located on the ground floor of Paley, collects maps and atlases of historic Philadelphia. Maps in electronic format can be found on the Web and through the GIS (Geographic Information System) workstation in the General Reference area.

To identify items in the Map Reference area, do a Keyword search in the Diamond Catalog and select Paley Map Reference under Collections.

Additional atlases may be found on the book shelves on the 2nd and 3rd floors of Paley. To locate these, search the Diamond Catalog just as you would for a book.
