The University Libraries are committed to providing library materials not in their collections to the Temple community. Through many consortial relationships most such materials can be obtained within 5-7 working days.
If faculty or graduate students need material urgently, they need to discuss the requests with library staff, who may then order from a commercial document delivery vendor. Such vendors include CISTI (Canadian Institute for Scientific and Technical Information), ISI (Institute for Scientific Information), CAS (Chemical Abstracts), and the British Library Lending Library. Materials ordered from these vendors generally arrive within 1-4 days.
For urgently needed materials speak to a staff member at one of these locations:

In addition to requesting books through Document Delivery / Interlibrary Loan patrons may also request books through PALCI, a statewide consortium that allows patrons to place requests directly, with email notification when the material is available. Books that are available through this program generally arrive within 2-4 working days.
