Collections

In the rapidly changing world of health and biomedical sciences, the library staff works on providing the most up-to-date information—while recognizing the need to preserve scholarly works of historical significance. The Libraries hold over 159,000 volumes and provide access to over 4,000 serial titles. Subject specialists work with faculty and researchers to create a collection that, regardless of format, meets the needs of students, researchers, clinicians and faculty, not just for the moment but for the future. As technology changes the way we interact with information, the Health Sciences Libraries collection will keep pace with the new, while providing stewardship for the essential.

Our research guides—available at guides.temple.edu/hsl—provide a gateway for faculty, staff and students to discover the resources specific to their discipline. Other guides cover multi-disciplinary content areas. Each research guide pulls together library purchases, subscriptions and vetted online resources that serve as a portal to the highest quality information on selected health sciences topics.
