Open Education Week - Using Open Educational Resources in the Classroom

Tue, Feb 28, 2023 | 12:00 pm

Textbook costs have long been a concern for students, and the COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated that problem.

Faculty can make their courses more affordable for students by adapting their syllabus using open educational resources (OER). OER are all-inclusive, openly licensed, always-accessible course materials at no cost to students.

In this workshop aimed at faculty and teaching graduate students, we will provide an introduction to the world of open educational resources. We’ll discuss how to find high quality OER in your discipline and show you how these materials can be customized to suit the needs of your particular class and improve student success. This workshop is offered as part of Open Education Week 2023.

This workshop will be offered as an online session via Zoom. You must register for this workshop to receive the Zoom link via a confirmation email. On the day of the workshop, use the link to join the session.

This workshop will be recorded. Register to attend the live session or to receive a copy of the recording.
