Midday Arts Series: A Reading with Liz Moore

Wed, Nov 01, 2017 | 1:00 pm

Please join us for an afternoon reading with novelist, essayist, and Temple University Writer-in-Residence Liz Moore. She will read from her latest novel, The Unseen World, and talk to us about her process and the inspiration for the book. The Unseen World (W.W. Norton, 2016), was included on year-end “Best of” lists by The New Yorker, the BBC, Publishers Weekly, Audible, and Vox, and was included on The American Library Association’s Notable Books List in 2017.

Moore’s previous novels include The Words of Every Song (Broadway Books/Random House, 2007) and Heft (W.W. Norton, 2012), and her short fiction and creative nonfiction have been published in venues such as The New York Times, Tin House, and Narrative Magazine. She has taught creative writing at Hunter College, the University of Pennsylvania, and most recently as an Associate Professor at Holy Family University.

Temple undergraduate Cindy Ngo will open the program with a short reading.

This program is part of the Libraries' Beyond the Page public programming series.
