Midday Arts Series: Poetry Readings by Pattie McCarthy and J.C. Todd

Join us for our first Midday Arts Series program of the spring semester, as poets Pattie McCarthy and J.C. Todd read from their own creative works.

Pattie McCarthy is the author of six books of poetry, including Quiet Book (Apogee Press, 2016), Nulls (horse less press, 2014), and Marybones (Apogee Press, 2012) and a dozen chapbooks, most recently x y z & & (Ahsahta Press, 2015). She was an artist resident at the Elizabeth Bishop House in Great Village, Nova Scotia, in summer 2013. A 2011 Pew Fellow in the Arts, McCarthy teaches creative writing and literature at Temple University

J.C. Todd is the author of FUBAR, an artist book collaboration with MaryAnn L. Miller (Lucia Press, 2016), What Space This Body (Wind Publications, 2008) and two chapbooks. Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in the American Poetry Review, Beloit Poetry Review, Ekphrasis, The Paris Review and other journals. A Pew Fellow in the Arts, she is the winner of the 2016 Rita Dove Poetry Prize. Todd is on the faculty of the Creative Writing Program at Bryn Mawr College and the MFA in Creative Writing Program at Rosemont College.
