Making Digital Materials Accessible

Tue, Oct 29, 2019 | 1:00 pm

This workshop will introduce the basics of accessible design (making materials usable for disabled learners). Participants will learn how to use accessibility checkers, develop relevant workflows, and utilize state-of-the-art tools for a wide-range of differently-abled learners. This will include making accessible publications, documents, slide-decks, videos, audio recordings, and documentation, as well as demonstrating some common accessibility features available on phones, tablets, and computers. Participants will be provided with practice exercises and light reading.

There will be four workshops in this series. You are not required to come to every one, but consistent attendance is encouraged.
