Detailed Collection Information 

Description of Collection
Collection of records authored by or about Caroline Katzenstein who was active in the Pennsylvania suffrage movement. Materials include a 1939 pamphlet, "The Sporting Spirit" written under Katzenstein's pseudonym Carol Stone; text of Charles Shaw’s review of Katzenstein’s book, Lifting the Curtain (1955), read on his WCAU-FM radio show “The World Around US;” and a 1961 statement written by Katzenstein resigning her affiliation with the National Woman’s Party. Other records include two 1968 condolence letters written to Caroline's sister, Josephine upon her death; photographs; newspaper clippings including an obituary; and printed materials related to the Philadelphia Life Insurance Company where Katzenstein sold insurance.
