COLLECTION OVERVIEW


This collection is comprised of photographs, drawings and other materials involved in the development of a model of downtown Philadelphia. The model was created by Herman and Leonard Abrams of Panoramic Studios for the Better Philadelphia Exhibition sponsored by the Philadelphia City Planning Commission. The exhibition was installed on the fifth and sixth floor of Gimbel's department store in 1947.
