The Other Economic Summit was established in 1984 as a non-profit activist and public education organization advocating new domestic and international economic policies, institutions, and principles to achieve the goals of social justice and sustainable, ecologically-sound economic development.  TOES met at the same time and in the same city as the G7 economic summits in order to highlight how the economy could be organised in other ways and challenging the right of the G7 leaders to speak for the world by confronting their economic and trade policies.

A preliminary inventory of the records is available at the repository.
