Biographical Note

William A. Schnader (1886-1968) was Attorney General of Pennsylvania and founder of the law firm Schnader, Harrison, Segal & Lewis. In 1934, he ran unsuccessfully as the Republican candidate for governor of Pennsylvania, losing George Howard Earle. He also served as Chairman of the American Bar Association Bill of Rights Committee, and as President of the Pennsylvania Bar Association from 1962-1963.

Description of Collection

This collection contains correspondence, news clippings, pamphlets, reports, legislative materials, and speeches related to the work of William A. Schnader, and particularly to the Pennsylvania Constitutional Convention in 1967-1968, and the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
