Ebooks and journals

Our online collections include access to thousands of ebooks and journal articles, available through Library Search and our A-Z databases.

We also have temporary access to many new e-resources that have not been previously accessible to our users.

Digital special collections

Our digital collections offer access to the unique primary historical and cultural resources held by the Libraries and to selected scholarly works and other publications produced at Temple, and we encourage you to explore them. You may also be interested in PA Digital, Pennsylvania’s service hub for the Digital Public Library of America (DPLA).

Get research help

Temple Libraries offers multiple ways to get help with research. 

Meet with a librarian online

Librarians are available to assist with research questions and assignments via chat, email, and online appointments. 

Librarian appointments will be held as online meetings via Zoom. Go to our online appointment scheduler to pick a date and time that works for you.

Librarians staff chat during these hours: 

  • Monday–Friday, 9 am – 9 pm

  • Saturday, 12 noon – 5 pm

  • Sunday, 12 noon – 8 pm

Access to physical collections

While our physical collections are currently not accessible, we can help you find a digital copy. 

Journal articles & book chapters 

You can request digital copies of journal articles and book chapters through ILLiad. 

All other material types

If you find an item in Library Search and it isn’t available online, send us a request using the “Get help finding a digital copy” button. We’ll do our best to find a digital version.

If we cannot find a digital copy of the item, we can suggest an alternative for you to consider.
